Privacy and Data Storage
Durian Diary is designed as a privacy-first journaling app.
Our servers do not store your diary content, photos, or attachments.
Your diary data stays under your control on your own devices and cloud drive.
How Multi-device Sync Works
To sync diaries across phones, tablets, and computers, you must connect your own cloud drive.
Think of the cloud drive as a transfer hub: one device uploads, another device downloads.
PS: Diary data follows the cloud drive, membership follows the account.
Membership entitlement is tied to your account; diary content is tied to your connected cloud storage.
Where to Find Sync Entry
- Top-right circle icon on the home page
- Me → Cloud Sync
Recommended Sync Steps
- On Device A, connect cloud drive and sync until progress reaches 100%.
- On Device B, connect the same cloud drive account and sync to 100%.
- Once both devices finish syncing, data should stay consistent.
Helpful Reminders
- Before switching devices, make sure the old device has synced to 100%.
- Keep a stable network during first-time sync on a new device.
- If you have many images, syncing may take longer, which is expected.
